Classes

Both members and non members are welcome to take part in our classes, up to date monthly subscribed gym members receive classes included in the membership fee and for non members most classes are charged at £4.50, Yoga & Pilates £5.75 and Fit for Life £5.60. 

Please book in advance to secure a space and to avoid disappointment.

 

HCLF Classes descriptions

 

Cardio Tone: A mixture of cardio and bodyweight exercises to achieve a body fat burn, overall tone and better wellbeing. This class features exercises and equipment of a wide variety to provide its benefits.

Circuits: This class will incorporate individual stations as part of a whole body workout to guarantee hitting every muscle group.  It offers the best of both worlds by allowing you to combine intervals of high intensity cardio as well as resistant and body-weight training to work muscles simultaneously, developing strength and muscular endurance to an all-round workout.

Core Conditioning: This class targets a persons core, strengthening the abdominal and back muscles. A mixture of fun and challenging exercises that will help improve posture. Training your core can lead to reduced lower back pain. The class is suitable for all abilities as there is always a alternate exercise.

Fit for Life: A class more suited for the mature clientele who's aim is to slow down the ageing process and associated risks of being inactive. Suitable for both male and female to keep you active and on the go.

Functional Hit n Fit: Functional Fitness simply means the ability to carry out everyday activities with ease and without injury, Maximal results in a small amount of time.  A whole body approach class targeting both fast and slow twitch muscle fibres,  All energy systems worked for cardiovascular fitness, fat burning, strength and agility.

HITT Spin: A cardiovascular workout that's not designed for the faint hearted! An intense 30 minute interval training cycling class that will leave you gasping for breath but will increase your V02 max to the max!

Pilates: Pilates combines a sequence of movements that help develop the body’s mobility and stability. It improves the body’s core strength, balance and overall performance in many other sporting disciplines, as well as reducing the likelihood of injuries.

Pump it up: This 45/60 minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using Barbells and Body weight exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. Sculpt your body, improve strength and power whilst fat burning at the same time. Get your Pump on and feel the burn!!

Stretch Yoga for Improved Energy:  A classical Hatha class using sun salutation to open the class and breath and movement sequence to create energy flow.

Stretch Yoga for Improved Flexibility:  A classical Hatha class using sun salutation to open the class and breath and movement sequence to create improve flexibility.

Studio Cycling: Cardiovascular workout on bikes, pedalling through hill climbs, sprints and many more challenging drills and exercises to burn fat, boost stamina and leg strength.

Top2Toe Tone: Resistance exercise class using barbells, stretch bands, body weight and steps to sculpt your body from head to toe. Suitable for both men and women this class will help to boost your metabolism to burn more calories at rest.

Women & Weights: Ladies only toning class using weights, dumbbells and other equipment to improve muscle strength.
